Connecting Your LinkedIn Account
During the initial activation of your organizational LinkedIn Learning account, you will have the option to connect it to a personal LinkedIn profile for a personalized learning experience.
Benefits of Connecting Your Profile
- You will receive a more personalized learning experience with course recommendations based on your job title, skills, and industry.
- Your learning content will be discoverable within the LinkedIn.com experience (e.g., in your feed).
- Privacy Note: When you connect your profile, only your learning data will be shared with your employer; no other data from your personal LinkedIn profile will be accessible or shared.
Troubleshooting Login and Security Check Issues
If you encounter a LinkedIn security check issue or login process, here's a quick fix:
The 10-Second Fix
- Go to LinkedIn Learning.
- In the email field, DO NOT enter your full email address.
- Instead, type only our school domain: saskpolytech.ca
- Click Continue. This should bypass the loop and take you directly to our school’s login page.
Why this works: This bypasses the personal account check and forces the browser to redirect immediately to your institution’s portal (SSO), which usually clears the security "loop."
Browser and General Fixes
- Clear Browser Data: Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Disable Protections: Disable any VPNs or browser extensions that might be interfering.
- Try a Different Environment: Use a different web browser or a different device (like a desktop instead of a laptop, or vice versa).
- Wait and Retry: If you have made too many failed attempts, you may need to wait until the next day to try again.
Further Assistance
- Contact Support: If none of the troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, contact LinkedIn Support for direct assistance, as the issue may require their intervention.
