What are databases and how can I find them?

Answer

Search library databases for information from published sources including journals, magazines, newspapers, videos, encyclopedias, and books. There are different kinds of databases and most are based around a subject area.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Library offers more than 170 databases to assist you during your research and studies.

As a SaskPolytech student, faculty or staff, you can access these databases 24/7 in the classroom or anywhere you may be.  If you are not on campus you have to login using your full SaskPolytech email and password.  If you are on campus and cannot get access, check to make sure your WiFi connection is on EDUROAM.

Click here for the A-Z list of all of the library databases.

After selecting a database it is important to quickly review the Extended Information.  This will give you additional information on viewing, linking, downloading articles, copyright, etc.
