Where can I find copyright-friendly images?

Answer

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Library subscribes to Britannica ImageQuest, which offers access to over 3 million rights-cleared images for use by staff, faculty, and students.

Copyright-friendly images are also available from several other sources, including:

Creative Commons Search and Google Advanced Image Search both allow you to search across many image sources at once using a usage rights filter. For instance, you can filter by images that are free to use commercially or to modify. For more information, visit this Google Search Help page and check out the Finding Images handout.

Remember to cite the image, and to review the terms of use.
