How do I share a URL/link to an article/resource in a database?

Answer

When you’re using a library database, the regular URL (copied from the web address field at the top of your browser window) often won’t get you back to that resource.

If you want to share a link or save it for later use, most times you will need to copy the "permalink" or "persistent link." Each database will have the permanent URLs in a different place.

To find out how to best share links from a database, click on the blue i beside a database name on the Digital Resources page:

If applicable, there will be a box called "Linking to Content" on the Extended Information page.

See the Persistent Links page for more information on finding persistent links.
