How do I download EBSCO eBooks?

Answer

Downloading an EBSCO eBook allows you to read the eBook offline on a phone, tablet or computer. If you would like to read the eBook online, downloading is not required.

EBSCO eBooks can be found in these three databases:

How long can you download an eBook for?

This will depend on the eBook. Most eBooks are loaned for 3 days. After 3 days, the download will expire and you will need to download the eBook again in order to read it, if it is available.

Please note that you can have a maximum of 5 eBooks downloaded at a time.

Computer

For use on a desktop or laptop, you will need to download and install Adobe Digital Editions. Then create an EBSCOhost account and create an Adobe ID. To make an EBSCOhost account click "myEBSCO" in the top right corner of the database page to start the process. It is also important to "Authorize Adobe Digital Editions App with your Adobe ID."

To download an eBook, click "Download." On the pop-up window, choose between "Chapters Only" or the "Full eBook." For the full eBook, verify if you have Adobe Digital Editions installed before clicking "Download."

Mobile Devices

For Apple and Android devices, you'll need to download the corresponding app. See EBSCO online instructions
