Q. How do I check out books if I'm NOT a Saskatchewan Polytechnic student/staff/faculty member?

Answer

If you are a Saskatchewan Polytechnic alumni, retiree, or apprentice (not currently enrolled) you can purchase a library card for $20.00 annually. This card will allow you to borrow a maximum of three items at a time.

Members of the general public can purchase a library card for $50.00 annually. This card will allow you to borrow a maximum of three items at a time.

An alternative is to note the titles of the items you want to borrow, contact your local public library and request an interlibrary loan of the items. The items will be sent to your local library and you can pick them up from there. And the best thing is... it's free!

Reciprocal borrowing is available for University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina students. Please register at the circulation desk.  We will check with your university that you are currently enrolled and in good standing with your library before you will be able to borrow.

More information about our borrowing services can be found on our Borrowing, Renewals and Overdues page.
